Kuwait's Council of Ministers had their weekly meeting on Tuesday, where they announced a three-day holiday for Kuwait's National Day and Liberation Day.

In addition to the two-day weekend, Kuwait will get a five-day holiday to join the festivities.
All official work will resume on Sunday, Mar. 2.
Kuwait National Day (Feb. 25) and Liberation Day (Feb. 26) are two of the country's most significant national celebrations.
National Day marks the ascension of Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah to the throne in 1950, recognizing his role in Kuwait's independence from British protection in 1961. Liberation Day commemorates Kuwait's freedom from Iraqi occupation in 1991, following the Gulf War.
Both days are celebrated with patriotic displays, including fireworks, parades, and cultural events, as Kuwaitis come together to honor their nation's history and resilience.
