In an official notice, schools were advised to activate online learning through the Teams platform in case in-person classes are suspended. Staff have also been instructed to take basic safety precautions—like making sure windows and doors are securely shut—and to stay alert for any updates from the Ministry of Education.

The dust storm is expected to bring strong winds, poor visibility, and rough seas. Forecasters say visibility could drop below 1,000 meters and even reach zero in some areas. Wind speeds may exceed 60 km/h as they shift from southerly to northwesterly directions.

Schools have urged students, parents, and staff to follow official alerts closely and take all necessary safety steps to protect everyone on campus.

Final Exam Dates for Private and Special Education Schools

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has confirmed the final exam dates for intermediate students in private and special education schools. Exams for Grades Six to Nine will take place from May 21 to 29, 2025.
