Kuwait Announces Major Cabinet Reshuffle

Kuwait's Emir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, has signed a decree approving the reshuffle of the country’s cabinet, introducing several new faces while retaining key ministers.

New Appointments in the Cabinet

In the latest shake-up, four new ministers have been appointed:

- Khalifa Abdullah Dhahi Al-Ajil Al-Askar takes over as Minister of Commerce and Industry.

- Abdullatif Hamed Hamad Al-Mishari is named Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs.

- Nader Abdullah Mohammed Al-Jalal steps in as Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and will also serve as Acting Minister of Education.

- Noura Suleiman Salem Al-Fassam becomes the Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment.

Reappointments and Continuing Roles

Several ministers from the previous cabinet have been reappointed, either in their current roles or in new positions:

- Abdulrahman Baddah Al-Mutairi continues as Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs.

- Nourah Mohammed Khalid Al-Mashan remains as Minister of Public Works.

- Omar Saud Abdulaziz Al-Omar is reappointed as Minister of State for Communications Affairs.

- Mahmoud Abdulaziz Mahmoud Bushehri retains his position as Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy.

- Amthal Hadi Hayef Al Huwailah continues as Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs.
