Activities to do on Kuwait National Day 2023

Celebrated on February 25th of every year, Kuwait National Day is the official public holiday commemorating the day that Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah became the ruler of Kuwait in 1950.

Since 1963, National Day of Kuwait celebrations were observed as a symbol of Kuwait’s independence from Great Britain, putting an end to its status as a British protectorate, and until this day, it is considered a day of pride and joy filled with activities and festivities for Kuwaitis and residents alike.

A variety of activities can be done that offer thrilling entertainment throughout the nation. Al Kout Mall

Al Kout Mall, situated in Fahaheel, Kuwait, was opened on February 10, 2005, and is among the largest shopping malls in the country. Along with a traditional market, the mall features various regional and international brands. Visitors can also enjoy the evening fountain show offered at the mall.

You can watch fireworks illuminating the skies on the 25^th of February in celebration of Kuwait National Day at 8 pm.

The Avenues Mall

The Avenues Mall is the largest shopping mall in Kuwait. Fireworks will start bursting fireworks in the skies in celebration of Kuwait National Day on the 26^th of February at 8 pm.

360 Mall

A modern shopping mall, established in 2009, featuring luxury brands, a food court, cinemas, and a nursing lounge. You can see fireworks lightening up at 360 Mall on the 26^th of February at 8 pm.

Celebrate at Mall 360

Mall 360 in Kuwait was one of the first to announce the events of Hala February and the National Day and Liberation Day celebrations for the year 2023. You can attend the exhibition of the world's largest traditional garment (Bisht) in the Oasis till the 28^th of February, and it starts from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

If you have kids, don’t worry Mall 360 is providing a space for kids' activities and workshops in the Oasis. It is also an ongoing activity till the 28^th of February from 3 to 7 pm.

Attend Folkloric shows

One of the activities that visitors can attend during the Kuwait National Day celebrations is watching traditional folkloric shows at different venues throughout the country. Two popular locations to catch these shows are the Al Kout Mall and Mersaf Market. These vibrant events showcase Kuwait's rich culture and history, featuring traditional music, dance, and dress. Have you been to Youm Al-Bahar Village before?

It is a charming village in Kuwait City that displays its rich history and served as a pearl trading hub for over 200 years. You can find unique souvenirs in the local shops and enjoy delicious food at the many restaurants and cafes where there will be workshops, and performances to enjoy. It's a peaceful spot to spend quality time with your loved ones.

You can enjoy a theatrical performance at Youm Al-Bahar village where the performance will be held on the 28^th of February from 3 to 4 pm. In addition, if you are into musical performances, then you should attend “Mayouf Mejally”, a Kuwaiti folk band that will be performing at Youm Al-Bahar village on the 25^th of February at 7:30 pm.

Participate in the festivities

On the 25th and 26th of February, a carnival and military parade will take place at the Kuwait Towers and Al Khaleej Street. Visitors can attend this exciting event from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on February 25th day. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience the festive atmosphere.
