The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is actively overseeing the implementation of the replacement policy in government agencies, ensuring compliance with CSC Resolution No. 11/2017. This resolution specifies the required percentages for each of the ten functional groups, which range from 98 to 100 percent.

According to Al-Anba daily, this policy has significantly impacted expatriate employees. Over the past five years, approximately 10,000 expatriate workers have been laid off from the government sector. The breakdown is as follows: 3,140 employees in the first year, 1,550 in the second year, 1,437 in the third year, 1,843 in the fourth year, and 2,000 in the fifth year.

The CSC continues to monitor the availability of national professionals in the central register of government employment, ensuring that the replacement policy aligns with the nation's goal of increasing local workforce participation. This strategic move underscores the government’s commitment to prioritizing national talent.
