100 KD Fine, Month in Prison for Eating in Public During Fasting Hours

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior has announced that eating or drinking in public during fasting hours in Ramadan is an offense punishable by one month in prison or a fine of KD 100 ($326.6) or both.
In a tweet, the ministry warned citizens and residents against fast-breaking during the day in the holy month of Ramadan.

People are not allowed to eat, drink, smoke, or chew gum in public from dawn until the sun sets during the holy month.
