For Manchurian Balls

1 1/4 cup cabbage, finely chopped
1/2 cup carrot, grated
1/4 cup French beans, finely chopped
2 tbsp capsicum, grated
1/4 cup onions, chopped
3 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
salt
oil

For Manchurian Sauce

1 1/2 tbsp oil
3/4 tbsp garlic, grated
1/2 tbsp ginger, grated
1/4 cup spring onions, finely chopped
1/4 cup capsicum, finely chopped
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp red chilli sauce
1 tsp vinegar
3/4 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup water
salt
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp pepper, crushed

  1. Make Manchurian Balls

    Add vegetables, cornstarch, flour, ginger-garlic paste, pepper, and salt to a large bowl. Mix everything well until a nicely bound dough is formed. Make lemon-sized balls from the dough.
  2. Fry Balls

    Heat oil in a deep pan and fry balls on medium heat until they turn golden. Remove them from the pan and soak them dry with a kitchen tissue.
  3. Bake Balls

    Bake balls on a greased wire rack over a tray at 200 °C for 20 to 30 minutes. Flip balls on their sides every eight minutes during this time. Remove balls from oven and set aside.
  4. Make Manchurian Sauce

    Heat oil in a pan and saute onion, ginger, and garlic for a minute. Add spring onions and capsicum and fry on high heat without burning. Add soy sauce and red chilli sauce to the vegetables. Mix cornstarch in water and add it to the vegetables. Add vinegar, salt, sugar, and pepper according to your requirements. Cook sauce on medium heat until it thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool
  5. Serve

    Add manchurian balls to the sauce, garnish with spring onions, and serve with rice or noodles.
