Ramadan Cannons Locations in the 7 Emirates

Ramadan Cannon is a tradition since the early 1960s in the UAE, where many people enjoy watching the firing of cannons at Iftar. The seven emirates have located Ramadan Cannon in different areas across the UAE. Check them out in this article.

About Ramadan Cannons 

In the UAE, Ramadan's Cannon fires two shots to inform the start of the holy month and two other shots to announce Eid. While every day during the holy month of Ramadan, a single shot is fired to inform residents when to break their fast and start their iftar meal. 

Ramadan Cannon Locations in UAE

The Support Unit in UAE has identified 12 areas for the Ramadan cannon around the UAE, check them below:  

Abu Dhabi 

  • Sheikh Zayed Mosque 

  • Qasr AlHosn 

  • Umm Al Emarat Park – Mushrif 

  • Majlis Al Mushrif 

  • Shahama City – Formula parking  

  • Zakher Al Ain – Near Majlis Alsarooj  

  • Al Jahili Fort 

  • AL Dhafrah – Adnoc Parks  

  • Majlis Mohammed Al Yasi - Al Mirfa 

Dubai  

  • Atlantis, The Palm 

  • Burj Khalifa 

  • Al Seef 

  • Al Waheda at Century Mall 

  • Hatta, in front of Emirates Cooperative Society and Hatta Hill Park 

In addition, the following areas will have Ramadan Cannon for 3 days: 

  • Al Satwa near the Big Mosque 

  • Al Quoz near Al Anbiya’a Mosque 

  • Al Lisaili near Al Nahda National School 

  • Lahbab near Lahbab Community Park 1 

  •  Al Aweer near Sheikh Hamdan Mosque 

  • Al Khawaneej near Ahmed Al Habbai Mosque 

  • Muhaisnah near Abdul Rahim Mohammed Kti Mosque 

While these areas will have Ramadan Cannon for 2 days: 

  • Al Warqa near the Big Mosque 

  • Jebel Ali near Ibn Battuta Mall and Ain Dubai 

  • Nad Al Sheba near Nad Al Sheba Park  

  • Al Barsha near Al-Buhaira Park. 

Sharjah  

  • Al Majaz Waterfront  

  • Al Dhaid Fort 

  • Khorfakkan Amphitheatre

Ajman

Ras Al Khaimah
