Qatar Receives Two Awards in Arab Radio and TV Festival

During the 22nd session of the Arab Radio and Television Festival, which is held in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, the Qatar Media Corporation was honored with two awards in the categories of TV exchange, co-production, and radio exchange.

On November 9, the 22nd edition of the festival officially kicked off with the participation of representatives from the Qatar Media Corporation, Arab organizations involved in media in Arab League member states, pertinent regional and international organizations, and a selection of figures in the media, culture, and arts fields.

Qatar Media Corporation was represented at the Arab Radio and TV Festival by an official delegation headed by the Director of Qatar Radio Mohamed Nasser Al Mohannadi.

In the annual documentary program on environmental and sustainable development challenges in the Arab world on the "Smart Agriculture" program produced by Qatar TV, Qatar Media Corporation took home the first-place prize in the category of television exchanges and co-productions.

The Saudi Radio and Television Corporation's "Migrant Brains Among Need" and "Nostalgia/Equally with the "Mind Migration" Program" program won second place in the radio exchange competition.

In the Arab world, the "Robotix" program from the Palestinian Radio and Television Authority earned first place in the category of scientific research, and the Egyptian Radio's "A Journey into the World of Director Ali Mahmoud" program took home the top honor in the category of radio theatre flags.

It is important to note that the Arab States Broadcasting Union hosted the Arab Radio and Television Festival during its 22nd session. In addition to representatives from Qatar Media Corporation, Arab media organizations in League of Arab States member states, and other regional and international bodies, this is done in collaboration with the Saudi Radio and Television Authority. A number of actors in the media, culture, and arts have also taken part.

The festival strives to advance discussion of the most promising theories for the growth of radio and television production, and it also pushes Arab media to improve its levels of expertise, training, and technology in order to keep up with the quickening speed of technological advancement.

The festival's twenty-second session takes place in conjunction with the launch of the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), which will run for three days and feature more than 200 institutions from member organizations, television networks, independent radio stations, international Arabic-language channels, and global tech equipment manufacturers. Additionally, there are service providers, producers, and distributors of audiovisual content.
