No Injuries as Kuwait Firefighters Extinguish Church Fire

A fire broke out on Saturday at the National Evangelical Church in Kuwait City's Al-Qibla area, but quick action by firefighters ensured no injuries were reported.

The Kuwait Fire Department responded swiftly after receiving a report about the blaze, dispatching teams from Al-Qibla, Al-Hilali, Hawally, and Al-Isnad centers. Together, they worked efficiently to bring the fire under control and prevent further damage.

The fire affected two key areas of the church: the prayer hall and the library. Covering approximately 400 square meters, these sections sustained material damage. Upon arrival, firefighters promptly evacuated church staff and focused on extinguishing the flames to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.

Following their successful efforts, the teams conducted a detailed inspection to rule out any lingering fire risks. Authorities have since initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. The inquiry involves the Fire Department, the Fire and Explosives Department, and the General Department of Criminal Evidence.
