Kuwait Youth Handball Team Qualifies for World Championship

Kuwait’s youth handball team earned a spot in the upcoming World Championship after a strong 27-23 win against Japan in the semifinals of the 10th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship. The match took place on Wednesday in Amman, Jordan, where the Jordan Handball Federation hosted the tournament for the fourth time, having previously organized it in 2008, 2014, and 2018.

Qualifying for the World Stage

The championship doubles as a qualifier for the 11th IHF Men’s Youth (U19) Handball World Championship in Slovenia, which will be held in July/August 2025. The top five teams from the tournament in Amman will secure their spots in the global competition.

Defending Champions and Tournament History

South Korea, the reigning champions of the Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship, have claimed the title three times in 2005, 2014, and 2022. Kuwait’s qualification adds to the excitement as teams fight for their chance to compete on the world stage.
