Kuwait Sports Day 2025 kicked off in high-energy style, drawing 21,000 participants to the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway for a day packed with races, competitions, and entertainment.
Organized by the Public Authority for Sport, the event featured a 5-kilometer walking race and a 20-kilometer cycling challenge, with participants making their way from Shuwaikh Port to the southern island of the bridge.
Beyond the races, the festival had something for everyone—parachute displays, live music, team sports, and a buzzing sports village offering interactive games, fitness booths, and food stalls. Minister of Information, Culture, and Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi highlighted the massive turnout, emphasizing Kuwait’s commitment to promoting a healthy, active lifestyle for all ages.
Former Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Sabah, a cycling race participant, expressed hopes of extending next year’s route across the entire Sheikh Jaber Bridge, building on this year’s expanded 35-kilometer race. Meanwhile, South Korean Ambassador Chong-Suk Park praised the event’s organization, calling the experience of walking on the iconic bridge “amazing.”
With live performances, sports contests, and family-friendly zones, Kuwait Sports Day 2025 proved to be more than just a fitness event—it was a celebration of movement, community, and fun.
