Kuwait Deports Expat Nurse for Labeling Palestinians "Terrorists"

In a recent incident in Kuwait, an Asian nurse working at Al Sabah Hospital has been deported due to her public expression of support for Israel during the ongoing conflict with Palestine. The Ministry of Interior has confirmed this action, which occurred as the nurse posted a status update on WhatsApp in which she labeled Palestinians as terrorists and displayed the Israeli flag.

The controversy began when lawyer Bandar Al Mutairi filed a complaint against the nurse, leading to an official investigation. During the interrogation, the nurse did not back down from her pro-Israel stance.

This occurrence marks the second instance in which an expatriate working under the Ministry of Health in Kuwait faced a complaint.  In an earlier case, an Indian nurse employed at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital supported the actions of the Israeli occupation forces, including the killing of Palestinian children and the bombing of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital.

Former Emir Sabah Al-Salem issued a decree on June 5, 1967, declaring a defensive war between Kuwait and the Zionist groups in occupied Palestine. The recent actions to deport nurses who express pro-Israel views highlight the sensitivity surrounding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
