Kuwait has officially banned the screening of the highly anticipated movie Wicked, originally set to debut in cinemas on December 5. The decision comes amid concerns over the film's inclusion of a gay character, prompting its prohibition in the country.

Produced on a $145 million budget, Wicked has outpaced major competitors, including the domestic earnings of Gladiator 2, which grossed $55.5 million during the same period.
