According to the latest media reports, Racing Bulls driver Yuki Tsunoda will replace Red Bull driver Liam Lawson for the remainder of the F1 2025 season.
The Red Bull bosses and the team's principal, Christian Horner, came to the decision during a meeting in Dubai on Monday, Mar. 24, according to BBC Sport, which is expected to be announced officially later this week.
The 23-year-old New Zealander might be replaced after his unimpressive performance in the season's first two races. Lawson qualified 18th for the Australian Grand Prix, but he crashed out in the main race because of the wet weather.
He qualified last for both the sprint race and the Grand Prix in Shanghai, China, however, he finished 14th and 12th in each.
Lawson's average qualifying deficit to his teammate, four-time F1 world champion Max Verstappen, has been 0.88 seconds.
After Tsunoda takes his place at Red Bull, Lawson will move to Racing Bulls and race alongside rookie Isack Hadjar in F1.
