We are currently witnessing an evolution in the world of skincare as it is becoming an interest to everyone and essential to having healthy and glowy skin. Today, we are pleased to be able to talk to one of the most important beauty experts in the world, where he shares with us a part of his experience that extends to more than 20 years in the skincare and beauty industry.
We spoke with Dr. Simon Orian, owner of the MDO brand, about the most important technologies in the world of skincare, the key to the success of the MDO brand, and what makes it a full skincare treatment that we can use at home.
1. What makes MDO skincare distinct and unique from any other brand?
After over 25+ years of being blessed and having Hollywood A-List celebrities coming to my practice and dedicating my life to skincare innovation – My clients know that there are small things I can do to enhance their natural beauty naturally.
MDO’S portfolio and treatments are formulated with highly effective ingredient combinations to maximize the benefits for your skin. Focusing on innovative ingredients and vegan resources, all MDO products work effectively not only to optimize the look and feel of your skin but your overall skin's health. MDO is the secret to healthy, beautiful skin!
I developed MDO to allow you to quickly achieve great results outside my clinic - with the finest ingredients and step-by-step instructions - simply, effectively, and safely in the comfort of your own home.
2. We are always witnessing new treatments in skincare; do you think we should always add these new trends to our routine?
One can only assume that many things are becoming more and more mainstream when it comes to beauty & skincare. Yet, I firmly believe that one thing will always have center stage: No matter how old you are or from which background you come – the desire to be attractive will continue to manifest itself. My goal is to support people to become more attractive – but in a natural way. With treatments that are not immediately recognizable as a treatment per se. Whether it's a minimally invasive facial or a new skincare routine, I always place the focus on highlighting one's own health and beauty. From the outside, people should only notice that you look better, fresher, and younger, but they should not be able to guess what exactly has changed.
3. What is an important element that should always be in our skincare routine?
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate. I always emphasize the importance of hydration to all my clients. It really does work wonders on your skin, especially when you also try to stick to anti-inflammatory nutrition and beware of refined sugar. Another tip is to avoid touching your face. It doesn't just spread bacteria and cause breakouts — it can lead to scarring and an increase in wrinkles.
Overall health and wellness of a patient focus on physical, mental, and social well-being. It is important to make a commitment to being healthy internally and externally. The healthier you are with yourself the easier it is to age gracefully.
I believe that everyone is born with beautiful skin. Great skincare results are only meaningful when they give you that extra boost of confidence.
4. What is the newest technology that MDO is working on now?
Technology is changing the way we think of beauty. Smart beauty devices are bringing significant advances to the world of skincare, whilst AI algorithms play a prominent role here. From finding your routine through our Virtual Consultation “Simon Says” to our adaptive color-mimicking technology in combination with highly effective ingredients, is the way to move forward for future product developments. Reinventing the consumer journey through AI and VR to go a step further into personalized cosmetics is something we are actively working on.
5. What is the most challenging thing about creating skincare treatments?
Finding the perfect balance of natural ingredients and green chemistry compounds to develop products that are effective and provide consumers with the results they want to achieve. consumers who are accustomed to the sophisticated textures and performance of synthetically enhanced formulations, will not compromise on functionality, efficacy, or sensory appeal
6. Being a brand that caters to consumers from all over the world; how different are the needs of people in the middle east when it comes to skincare?
There is a rising trend of 'skin care as health’, Hyperpigmentation, scarring, and signs of aging are the most common concerns among my Middle Eastern clients, and even though they are very good at protecting their skin from the sun, it is not just the sun but also the heat that causes discoloration.
We provide tailored routines, to those who suffer from dry skin, who want to reduce pigmentation, or those looking for help with signs of aging. For flawless skin, the skincare routine plays the most important role in the long run.
