Doha Hosts Qatar Economic Forum in Cooperation with Bloomberg

Under the kind patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, Doha will host the second edition of the “Qatar Economic Forum in cooperation with Bloomberg” from June 20 to 22, with the participation of a number of heads of state and more than 500 business leaders around the world, to discuss ways to equalize the global economic recovery.

In its sessions, the forum will address a number of topics on current global challenges such as the discrepancy between future jobs and the current capabilities of the workforce, supply chain challenges, the expected debt crisis, widening inequality in the economy, and other axes, with the aim of preparing a clear roadmap for the next phase of the global economic growth.

In this regard, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry said: “Making informed decisions about the future of the global economy is one of the priorities of governments and companies, in light of the transformations taking place in the financial and technological sector, as well as the continuous interest in energy security. From this standpoint, the Qatar Economic Forum, in cooperation with Bloomberg, provides an opportunity to discuss ways to support the strategic direction of the State of Qatar in achieving economic growth, as well as encouraging cooperation between countries of the world, with a focus on the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.”
