Varun Dhawan to Star in 'Border 2'

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan will be part of the upcoming war film 'Border 2', featuring Sunny Deol.

Dhawan took to social media to announce the news. He wrote, "To play a part in Border 2 produced by J P sir and Bhushan Kumar is a very, very special moment in my career. And I get to work with Sunny Paaji my hero makes it all the more special."

'Border 2' is the long-awaited sequel of the 1997 film 'Border'. Sunny Deol announced the project in June this year with the film being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta. 'Kesari' director Anurag Singh will direct the film.
The news of Dhawan joining the film comes after the news of Ayushmann Khurrana exiting the project.
The 1997 film was about the events during the Battle of Longewala, which occurred during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. The film features Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, Jacky Shroff, and Akshay Khanna in lead roles.
Fans expect a lot from the sequel of the film, which will be released in cinemas on Jan. 23, 2026.
