Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the UAE Cabinet announced the official holidays for the years 2021 and 2022 in 2020. Accordingly, the next official holiday in the UAE will be a celebration of the Hijri New Year, starting on the first day of Muharram, Saturday 30 July - which means there are no extra days off - but Friday 29 July or Monday 1 August can be given an extra day, making it a three-day weekend.

After that, the next public holiday will be on the occasion of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which will fall in 2022 on October 8. This year, October 8th is Saturday, so that could mean it's just a normal two-day weekend in October.

Then, the next public holiday is the last of the year - and it's sure to be a four-day weekend. Commemoration Day and National Day are December 1 and 2 respectively. These dates fall on Thursday and Friday in 2022 to enjoy a four-day weekend!
