Due to a spike in global crude oil prices, notably following the Russia-Ukraine war in February, petrol prices in the UAE have risen by almost 56% since January 2022.

On Tuesday, the UAE raised the price of Super 98 gasoline by more than 13% to Dh4.15 per litre in June, up from Dh3.66 in May, while the price of Special 95 has increased by 13.5 percent, from Dh3.55 to Dh4.03. In June, E-Plus 91 would cost Dh3.96 per litre, up from Dh3.48 last month, a 13.8 percent increase.
