Two people were arrested on charges of selling government-subsidized diesel to a number of trucks in the Sabhan and Amghara regions in Kuwait.
Two tanks containing 3,000 liters of diesel were seized.
This comes as the General Department of Criminal Investigations for Provincial Affairs, part of the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry’s Criminal Security Sector, launched surprise raids targeting the theft and illegal sale of government-subsidized diesel fuel.
The surprise raids were conducted by the Criminal Investigations Departments of Farwaniya.
The suspects have been referred to the relevant authorities, and action will be taken against them for benefitting from the sale of subsidized state diesel.
