Oman Air has secured the top position in the ranking of the most punctual airlines in the Middle East and Africa, according to the latest 2023 'On-Time Performance Review' by global aviation analytics provider Cirium.

The report listed the ten most punctual airlines in the region:
- Oman Air (Oman) 92.53 percent
- Safair (South Africa) 92.36 per cent
- Royal Jordanian (Jordan) 87.51 per cent
- Qatar Airways (Qatar) 85.11 percent
- Etihad Airways (UAE) 82.90 per cent
- Saudia (Saudi Arabia) 81.29 per cent
- Middle East Airlines (Lebanon) 79.15 percent
- Emirates (UAE) 78.48 percent
- Kuwait Airways (Kuwait) 73.18 percent
- Kenya Airways (Kenya) 71.86 percent
On-time flights are defined as those arriving within 15 minutes of the scheduled gate arrival. The data is based on more than 600 real-time flight information sources. The report also provided global rankings, with Colombia's Avianca Airlines topping the list.
The report highlighted Oman Air's efforts to expand its network, increase flight frequency, and enhance its fleet, contributing to the economy of Oman.
The anticipated Oneworld Alliance membership in 2024 is expected to further extend its global reach. Other top-performing airlines globally include Azul Airlines (Brazil), Delta Airlines (US), and Iberia (Spain). The report also featured the world's top-performing airports in terms of punctuality, with Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport leading the list.
