A project to provide shelter supplies to families impacted by the excessive rainfall that swept over Yemen's Socotra province was initiated on Sunday by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).
In the governorate's Hadiboh and Qalansiyah districts, up to 70 tents and 70 shelter bags were supplied, aiding 420 individuals. Up to 6,000 tents and 9,000 shelter bags will be provided as part of the effort to those who require them in Socotra.
Brigadier General Saleh Ali Saad Al-Soqtari, the undersecretary of the Socotra governorate, appreciated Saudi Arabia's efforts by KSrelief, to lessen the suffering of families affected by the torrential rains in the governorate. He acknowledged that this emergency aid is an extension of the various aid that KSrelief has previously provided for a number of the governorate's humanitarian and development sectors.
