The adoption of the newest environmentally friendly technologies, electric vehicles, and renewable energy sources will be the main priorities of the following phase.

According to officials, Qatar has lowered the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere by over 8,500 million kilograms as it works to meet its goal of reducing gas emissions by 25% by 2030.

The Gulf nation has also saved over QR4 billion in the second phase of Tarsheed, according to the Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad Sherida Al Kaabi, who made the announcement after implementing new initiatives for greener practices. This is a result of the country's national climate change action plan.

The National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency's 10th-anniversary celebration is when the new data were released (Tarsheed). Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, the nation's Prime Minister and Minister of Interior was present at the celebration to mark the achievement of the nation's sustainability goals.

According to the Qatar National Vision 2030, the National Strategy 2018–2022, the Qatar Environment and Climate Change Strategy 2021–2025, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Tarsheed worked during the first half of the previous decade in accordance with a program aimed at achieving sustainability goals in energy efficiency and increasing the use of renewable energy in Qatar, Al Kaabi said.

The event's subject was "Towards Sustainability and Energy Efficiency," and the prime minister honored the businesses and Tarsheed 10 competition winners who had contributed to the country's vision by reducing emissions and developing more sustainable initiatives.

Tarsheed was able to complete its task on schedule because of efforts made in the last ten years from all industries and government laws, with additional positive effects anticipated in the years to come.

Al Kaabi claims that during the program's second phase (2019–2022), 14,000 gigawatt-hours of electricity, more than 100 million cubic meters of water, and roughly 138 thousand million cubic feet of gas were saved.

The plan reduced emissions by about 8,500 million kilograms of carbon dioxide by the end of the previous year. More than QR4 billion was also saved by the program, the official continued.

The third stage of the project, which will begin this year and go through 2030, will concentrate on renewable energy initiatives, the fight against climate change, and ensuring sustainable production and consumption of water and power.

During the third phase of the program, he continued, "We will step up our efforts to implement more in core sectors, such as the strategy for electric cars, establishing 1,000 electric charging stations by the year 2025, encouraging energy use, and working on initiatives related to sustainability, confronting climate change, and reducing carbon emissions."

Additionally, we have observed a shift among the nation's people, residents, and partners in all sectors toward a culture of rationalization and energy efficiency.
