Oman lost to England by eight wickets in the group-stage match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua. on Thursday, Jun. 13.

Oman batted first, but they were all out after 47 runs only. Adil Rashid took four wickets, giving 11 runs. Both fast bowlers Jofra Archer and Mark Wood both secured 3-12 each.  

When England batted, they secured 50 runs in 3.1 overs. Jos Butler scored 24 runs in eight balls, while Phil Salt scored 12 runs in 3 balls. 

England recorded the largest win in T20 World Cup history in terms of balls remaining and it also boosted the team's net run rate above Scotland with 3.081.

England still ranks third in the tournament's ranking with three points, while Scotland ranks second with five points. 

England's next match is scheduled against Namibia on Saturday, Jun. 15.
