Restaurants to Open Two Hours Before Iftar

The Director General of the Kuwait Municipality, Eng. Ahmad Al-Manfouhi shared that restaurants and cafes will remain closed for the fasting day during Ramadan, but they can open two hours before iftar to prepare for that time.
The Director General emphasized that all efficient departments in the municipality branches in the governates should follow up on cafes and restaurants diligently and in case of violation of this regulation, starting from day one of Ramadan.
Al-Manfouhi also issued an administrative circular, emphasizing that all departments of public cleanliness and road occupancy in the municipality’s branches in the governorates should meticulously follow up on the implementation of cleaning contracts with cleaning companies in regard to working hours for cleaning streets and collecting trash.
The Director-General also issued an administrative decision, which will implement flexible working hours for Ramadan. According to Article 1 of the Civil Service Bureau’s decision, the attendance of employees of the municipality will be from 9:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., 10:15 a.m. until 2:45 p.m., and 10:45 a.m. until 3:15 p.m.
