French coach Hervé Renard confirmed that Mexico was much better than the Saudi team in the meeting of the two teams, which ended with Saudi Arabia losing 2-1 and leaving the tournament.
"Mexico was a lot better at playing, this is football anyway," Renard said.
"We didn't play well. Mexico played a good game and scored two goals," he added. "In general, the final result did not reflect the level of the match," he concluded.
