The Minister of Information and Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, stated on Sunday that the Qurain Cultural Festival has brought to life Kuwait's cultural vision and heritage.
According to Al-Mutairi, the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, the Qurain Cultural Festival in its 27-year history has shown Kuwait's commitment to its cultural values and its efforts towards promoting cross-cultural communication and has played a crucial role in promoting enlightenment in the Arab world.
Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, who serves as the President of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL), officially opened the 28th edition of the Qurain Cultural Festival on behalf of his Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The festival took place at the Abdulhusain Abdulredha Theatre in Salmiya.
The festival's agenda includes a range of cultural events such as symposia, theatrical performances, literary events, and displays of audio-visual arts, all of which contribute to the country's cultural and socio-economic development.
He further added that the festival, which is one of the biggest cultural events in the region, holds even greater significance this year as it takes place shortly after Kuwait's 62nd Independence Day which is a matter of great pride for the nation.
