Qatar's beach volleyball duo Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan have made it to the quarter-finals of beach volleyball at the Paris Olympics 2024.
The duo defeated Chilean pair Marco Grimalt and Esteban Grimalt in the Round of 16 on Monday, Aug. 5 with scores of 21-14 and 21-13.
In the quarter-finals, the Qatari team will face the American team who advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Italy with a score of 2-0.
The quarter-final match is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 8. Another quarter-final scheduled on that day is between Spain and Norway.
Qatari sprinter Ammar Ismail also impressed at the Paris Olympics with his personal best record of 44.66 seconds in the 400-meter dash.
