Qatar Will Host Several Events in June
According to the Visit Qatar website, the second edition of the Qatar Human Resource (HR) Conference will take place on June 1 in Doha, kicking off a series of events running up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Executives from the HR, recruiting, education, and training sectors will provide "important insights and invaluable business experience with different industries and enterprises to assist them to navigate challenges and be nimbler" during the conference, which is titled Excellence in Human Capital Management.
Although the years 2020-2021 were tumultuous for several industries, particularly in terms of human resource management, event organizer Nextfairs said that these businesses are currently facing new issues as they recover from the impact of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Many companies want to implement "new strategic initiatives aimed at modernizing the workplace while preserving a balance between old and modern approaches."
From 7.30pm to 9.30pm on June 3, the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) will perform The Best of Franz Liszt at Katara – The Cultural Village Opera House.
Alastair Willis (conductor) and Janos Balazs are among the performers (piano).
"The event will contain Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1, which took him over 25 years to finish, as well as Les Préludes, the best-known of Liszt's symphonic poems," according to the organizers. "As Liszt was regarded the best piano virtuoso of his day, this concert is for piano fans."
The organizers noted, "János Balázs will perform solo piano and Alastair Willis will conduct."
"Project Qatar 2022" and "Hospitality Qatar 2022" will be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) from June 6 to 9.
Project Qatar 2022, which comes for its 18th edition under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, is expected to draw top brands from around the world.
It "connects industry leaders with Qatar's highest-ranking decision-makers, paving the route for profitable partnerships and agreements."
Hospitality Qatar, the country's first and longest-running international hospitality and Horeca trade exhibition, will provide the industry with a boost and open up new doors.
"As Qatar prepares for a momentous year in 2022, the hospitality sector in the country is likely to see a rise in demand powered by government initiatives and a lineup of global and local events," the organizers stated. "Sports events, staycation demand, cruise business, GCC travellers, exhibits, cuisine festivals, and other such events will propel Qatar's hospitality sector to record heights in 2022."
