Her Excellency Mrs. Maryam bint Abdullah Al-Attiyah, Chairperson of the National Human Rights Committee, confirmed that the celebration of the National Day of the State this year comes amid unprecedented global momentum, as it coincides with the success of the State of Qatar in organizing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
In statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the country's national day, Her Excellency said that the contents of this year's national day slogan "Our unity is our strength" were in harmony with the historic hosting and organization of the world football event, which is being held for the first time in the Arab world and the Middle East region. The Qatari people, in all their categories, were keen to acquaint guests and visitors to Qatar from all over the world with the culture of the Qatari society, and its authentic customs and traditions.
Old Qatar
The Qatari capital, Doha, will witness "Darb Al-Saai" activities on the occasion of the country's celebrations of the National Day, which coincides with the FIFA World Cup Final on December 18.
The venue of the event attracts World Cup fans and visitors to the country, to contribute to highlighting the history and heritage of Qatar, as it receives a large public turnout for the various cultural and heritage events held by the National Day Celebrations Committee.
