According to reports from local TV channels on Wednesday, Narendra Modi is scheduled to be sworn in for his third term as Prime Minister on June 8.

Election Victory

Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a significant victory in the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections, winning 240 seats. Despite falling short of the required 272 seats for an outright majority, the BJP emerged as the largest party.

Congress Performance

The Election Commission of India revealed that the Congress party secured 99 seats, marking its best performance since 2009. While falling short of a significant victory, the Congress' improved result indicates a resurgence in support.
