Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are set to lead the cast in Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, according to Variety.
Robbie will star as Catherine Earnshaw, while Elordi will portray her passionate lover, Heathcliff. This new film, based on Emily Brontë's iconic Gothic romance, will begin production later this year in the UK.
Produced by MRC and Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment, Wuthering Heights marks Fennell's third feature film following her acclaimed Promising Young Woman and Saltburn.
The adaptation will bring the stormy love story of Catherine and Heathcliff to life once again, adding to the novel’s legacy of film, TV, and theater renditions.
Fans of the two stars can also look forward to Robbie’s upcoming project, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, and Elordi's roles in Frankenstein and The Narrow Road to the Deep North.
