Amruddin Sheikh Dawood, a businessman from Tamil Nadu's Chennai has built a mini Taj Mahal-inspired memorial house for his late mother, out of love for her.

This monument is located in Ammaiyappan near Tiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu. The total cost of building this was ₹5 crores ($610,414).

Sheikh Dawood was only 11 years old when his father passed away. Ever since, his mother, Jailani Bhivi, single-handedly raised her four daughters and a son until she passed away in 2020.

As a symbol of a mother's sacrifice for her children, he hired an architect and constructed the building using white marble sourced from Rajasthan.

It took two years to complete and was unveiled to the public on June 2nd, 2023.

All religions are welcome to visit this mini Taj Mahal and pay their respects.
