On Saturday, Kuwait achieved a new Guinness World Record for unveiling the largest flag at the Seventh Hole Cave located in the Salmah Plateau, Oman.
KFlag, which was a voluntary initiative, received a certificate from Guinness World Record adjudicator Al-Waleed Osman during the celebrations of Kuwait's national days.
The head of the KFlag team, Fu'ad Qabazard, expressed that setting a new world record for the largest flag unfolded inside a cave is a testament to the team's determination to honor their homeland and national days.
The flag, which covers an area of 2,773 square meters, was displayed inside the cave to demonstrate the strong relationship between Kuwait and Oman and to promote solidarity among their people. Qabazard made these comments in an interview with KUNA news agency.
He added that it took six months for the 16-member team to complete this voluntary initiative.
