In an impressive display of skill and determination, Kuwait's Faisal Al-Rajhi emerged victorious, clinching the gold medal in the 5,000-meter wheelchair race (T54 category) at the 11th World Disabled Athletics Championship in Japan.
Al-Rajhi's remarkable performance, clocking in at 10:50 minutes, positioned him ahead of competitors from Japan and China, securing his qualification for the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
Led by team captain Fahad Al-Mutairi and coaches Nizar Ramadan and Ahmad Harby, Kuwait's national disabled athletics team has demonstrated exceptional talent and commitment. Alongside Al-Rajhi, athletes Faisal Suroor, Dhari Al-Butti, and Malak Hadi Al-Enezi have showcased outstanding prowess on the global stage.
Al-Mutairi attributed Al-Rajhi's victory to the unwavering support of Kuwait's leadership and people, emphasizing the significance of HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's encouragement to the athletes.
