A large number of Kuwaiti women have launched an initiative to cut down on the costs of prewedding and graduation parties.
The initiative calls to reduce the costs of various pre-wedding celebrations, which have become mandatory over time.
The initiative also calls for cancelling graduation celebrations, which are seen by many people as a waste of money.
Kuwaiti women see the initiative as a positive step because it will help people who cannot afford prewedding celebrations, which usually involve two to three parties before the main marriage ceremony.

This initiative is now considered a women's revolution against wasteful spending.
According to Kuwaiti women, not every tribe has to spend lavishly on these ceremonies if they see some people do it, instead, everyone should have a choice and do what's best for them.
