Kuwait won the group stage match against the UAE in the 2024 Arabian Gulf Cup on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2-1.
The UAE team scored its first and only goal five minutes after the match started. Caio Canedo scored the goal with assistance from Harib Al Maazmi.
Kuwait followed with a goal of its own from midfielder Mohammad Daham in the 16th minute, tying the score.
Neither team scored another goal for the remainder of the first half of the match.
In the second half, UAE's Kouame Autonne received a red card in the 86th minute.
Within a few minutes, Kuwait's striker Moath Al Enezi secured the team's second goal.
Kuwait's next match is with Qatar on Friday, Dec. 27.
