Urgent Call for Action
Ambassador Al-Hayen's statement highlights the severity of the situation, emphasizing that the conference is taking place at an exceptionally sensitive time. The ongoing Israeli aggression, marked by violence and the forced displacement of civilians—particularly women and children—adds urgency to this call for action.
Ongoing Humanitarian Crisis
Al-Hayen condemned the "heinous crimes" perpetrated by the occupying forces in the Middle East, specifically pointing to the dire circumstances faced by people in Lebanon and Palestine. He expressed concern over the continuous violations of international laws and conventions, as well as the disregard for international mediation efforts aimed at restoring peace.
The Role of International Organizations
The ambassador stressed that the current global landscape necessitates a more vigorous role for international and humanitarian organizations. He highlighted the importance of the UN Security Council in maintaining international peace and security, urging it to fulfill its responsibilities during this tumultuous time.
Kuwait's Commitment
Kuwait remains steadfast in its commitment to addressing humanitarian needs rapidly and enhancing international cooperation. Al-Hayen reaffirmed that this dedication aligns with the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
As the humanitarian situation in Gaza and Lebanon continues to deteriorate, the urgency for immediate action becomes increasingly apparent. Kuwait’s call for prioritizing aid and international collaboration underscores the need for a united response to alleviate the suffering of those affected by these conflicts.
