Several hospitals, including Al-Adan, Al-Sabah, and Jaber Al-Ahmad, will receive new equipment thanks to a deal the Ministry of Health just inked, as reported by the Al-Qabas daily.
The Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, announced on the sidelines of the Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Conference, these devices will arrive in the nation within three months. He explained that this aligns with the Ministry's intention to remain up to date with developments in global medical technology.
Speaking at the conference, Al-Awadhi stated that the development had been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He also expressed his pride in the presence of national cadres in a number of specialties, including the nuclear medicine and radiology departments at the Kuwait Cancer Control Center.
He emphasized that as radiation therapy systems and nuclear medicine treatments advance, along with diagnostic and accuracy standards for devices and lectures related to them, these disciplines which involve participation from international companies play an essential and significant role in the development of technology. He expressed his gratitude for the involvement of several scientists, physicians, and consultants from other countries in order to enrich scientific discussions.
