Kuwait's Parliamentary Human Resources Committee has shared that they will issue a new policy with new requirements for the employment of expatriates in the public sector.
The new amendments will include sharing the news of employment of non-Kuwaitis in the Official Gazette and in all companies and official bodies owned by the government and subject to the Audit Bureau.
The time period to apply for grievance or appeal against the employment of the expats will be 60 days, starting from the date of publication.
Expats can only be hired once the job opportunity and its requirements are shared to ensure complete transparency, nonetheless, priority will be given to Kuwaitis.
In the case where a Kuwaiti is more entitled to the job because of having a similar specialization, then the expat will not be hired.
