Kuwait to Allow Transfer of Workers from Public to the Private Sector

The Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has decided to allow the transfer of employees in government agencies to the private sector for individuals from three categories.
The modifications to Administrative Resolution No. 842 of 2015 allow the transfer of individuals to the private sector, if they are from one of the three following categories:
- Spouses and children of Kuwaiti women.
- Wives of Kuwaiti men.

- Individuals with a university degree and who are under the age of 60.
For the transfer, the profession that the individual wants to pursue in the private sector must align with his or her qualifications.
This new regulation will be effective from the date of its issuance and it will be officially published in the Official Gazette.
