Kuwait: Shop Shut Down for Selling Overpriced School Bags

In Kuwait, Ministry of Commerce and Industry inspection teams shut down a market that was selling school bags at prices higher than their original prices, according to a statement released by the ministry on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Kuwait conducted inspections at local markets to ensure that shops were not inflating the prices of stationery ahead of the start of the school year. The inspections were carried out under the instructions of Minister Mohammad Al-Aiban, who is committed to preventing unjustified price increases.
The ministry urged the public to report any cases of price gouging to consumer protection centers or through the Sahel app.
