Kuwait Reveals Uniform for Athletes at Paris 2024 Olympics

Kuwait has unveiled the uniforms its female athletes will wear during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics. Designed by Kuwaiti designer Farah Al-Babtain, the attire merges traditional Kuwaiti Thoub with modern elegance.
Inspired by the national poem "Memoirs of a Sailor" by Dr. Mohammad Al-Fayez, the uniform reflects the resilience and spirit of the Kuwaiti people. The outfit features the traditional Thobe Al-Nashl in a striking blue, symbolizing Kuwait's seas and the national team's official color.
Golden embroidery and metallic accents highlight verses from the poem, while a distinctive belt decorated with the Kuwaiti flag's colors and traditional Sadu art adds a touch of cultural pride and symbolism.
Rowing athlete Soad Al-Faqaan will carry Kuwait’s flag during the ceremony, joined by swimmers Lara Dashti and Ameenah Shah from the sailing team.
