Kuwait emphasized its role in supporting an international truce in Ukraine and reiterated the need to respect the independency of states during the latest intensification of war.
The statement that emphasized the country’s support came after a meeting between Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Al-Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Ukrainian Ambassador to Kuwait Oleksandr Balanutsa where the two talked about the most recent escalations of the war.
In the meeting, the foreign minister reiterated Kuwait’s position towards the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and urged to stick to the standards of international law, the United Nations Charter as well as territorial sovereignty with globally recognized borders.
