Kuwait Opens Student Video Contest to Promote Safe Driving

The Ministry of Education, in partnership with the Ministry of Interior, is launching a “Traffic Awareness Competition” as part of the activities for Unified Gulf Traffic Week 2025. The initiative aims to promote safer driving habits and raise awareness about road safety among students.
Traffic Week Slogan Driving Without a Phone
The Unified Gulf Traffic Week, held across GCC countries, will run under the theme “Driving Without a Phone.” Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Ajmi, Chairman of the Unified Gulf Traffic Week Activities Committee, highlighted the importance of community participation in promoting traffic safety and invited the Ministry of Education to actively engage in the campaign.
A Creative Call for Students
As part of the initiative, students are encouraged to participate in the competition by creating 60-second video clips focused on traffic awareness. Teachers and school principals will guide the students in this effort, ensuring the projects align with the campaign’s safety message.
To evaluate the entries, a joint arbitration team will select the top three videos. Winning clips will be published on the Ministry of Interior’s official accounts to reach a wider audience.
Parental Consent Required
The organizers have stressed the need for written parental consent for participating students. This approval will also allow the videos to be shared publicly on official platforms.
