In a press statement, the Ministry emphasized that these claims are completely unfounded, reassuring the public that no such measures are being considered.

The Ministry was quick to deny any speculation regarding the introduction of taxes on salaries or consumer goods. There is no plan to impose taxes on individual incomes or everyday purchases, it clarified, urging the public to rely on official statements for accurate information.
Promoting Tax Education: A Long-Standing Initiative
Interestingly, while taxes remain off the table for salaries and goods, the Ministry is continuing its long-standing efforts to promote tax education in schools. Since 2005, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, this initiative has aimed to enhance tax and financial literacy among middle and high school students.
