Kuwait is gearing up for the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup Football Championship with a wide-reaching cleaning campaign across the country. The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality announced the initiative, which kicked off this week, in preparation for the big event.
Cleaning Efforts Begin in Key Areas
The campaign began on Monday in the area surrounding the Jumeirah Hotel in Messilh and will last for three weeks. The focus will be on cleaning both main and internal streets, as well as the public squares near hotels that will host the sports delegations.
Additionally, the municipality will place various-sized containers in strategic locations to ensure proper waste disposal and a tidy environment ahead of the tournament’s opening.

Extended Efforts at Sports Venues
The cleaning campaign will also extend to nine sports club stadiums where the teams will train during the tournament. These include stadiums at Khaitan, Al-Shabab, Al-Sahel, Yarmouk, Salmiya, Al-Arabi, Qadsia, Kuwait, and Kazma clubs, along with the surrounding areas.
