The Interior Ministry has taken proactive measures by introducing a confidential hotline (97287676) to address concerns regarding dual citizenship and forgery. Encouraging citizens to come forward with any relevant information, the ministry assures complete confidentiality for all calls received.

In alignment with legal mandates, the ministry emphasizes the duty of every individual to report crimes they become aware of. This commitment to upholding the law and constitution underscores the ministry's dedication to ensuring justice and maintaining the integrity of citizenship.

Recent actions by the ministry include issuing decrees and decisions to withdraw Kuwaiti citizenship from 26 individuals implicated in forgery and fraud cases. Six citizenships were revoked through decrees, while the remaining 20 were withdrawn in accordance with decisions made by the Cabinet.

These decisions are grounded in citizenship laws, which specify the withdrawal of nationality in cases involving fraud, false statements, or convictions related to moral turpitude and dishonesty within 15 years of obtaining Kuwaiti citizenship. Additionally, article 21 mandates penalties for individuals providing incorrect statements to administrative authorities to obtain nationality.
