Kuwait has expressed its strong condemnation of Thursday's knife attack that targeted a number of people in Annecy town, southeast France.

Four children and two pensioners were stabbed in a knife attack in the French mountain town on June 8th, and the government said the suspected assailant was a Syrian refugee.

Two of the children and one adult were transported to the hospital in a life-threatening condition, while the other victims were less seriously injured.

In a press release, Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the country's firm stance against "all forms of violence and criminal acts that run counter to all religious and human values."

The ministry expressed Kuwait's condolences to the families of the victims. It also wished the injured a speedy recovery.
